I’m convinced I can’t ever play Persona 4 now because it won’t live up to how adorable you make these two hdjhfsj
HJBSAFJSBDNFJSD THANK YOU……
I love Persona 4 so so much I can’t even DEAL WITH IT like it’s not a perfect game (when it fucks up it hurts that much more because everything else is just wonderful???) but there’s so much amazing stuff there and seriously I would recommend everyone play it for Kanji alone
1. Draw from life! Go to a figure drawing session, people watch, set up a still life and do some studies, look up stock photos online! Knowing how stuff works in real life and internalizing it makes the things you draw feel more real and solid.
2. PRACTICE ALL THE TIME! Nothing will make you improve faster than just sitting down and drawing a ton of stuff! Don’t worry if you draw a bunch of stuff you hate. Everyone has a ton of shitty drawings under their belt, but you learn something from every thing you draw, even if it’s shitty! Sometimes especially if it’s shitty, because it helps you figure out what it is about your drawings that you don’t like so you can fix it next time!
I like your X Files drawings. A lot. I mean, A LOT. I'm kind of in love with them. a;skljfa;sdlf <--- keyboard smash of love. Sorry if I come off as a little cray in this ask, I'm just high on the joy of your fanart.
THANK YOU GOSH WOW EVERYONE IS SO NICE
I really appreciate it! I’m glad my stuff has made you happy :D
yes good but not enough shoulder pads and 90s plaid patterns (belly hair though yes)
trufax I drew Mulder in one of Scully’s canon outfits from season 7! the episode where i think they finally DID IT looool I’m kinda trying to draw something in every fashion era for the show cause I’m a nerrrd
but yes you’re right this was a wasted opportunity for huge shoulder pads. i am ashame.
IF JEREMY DOESN'T RECOVER I'M GIVING UP ON LIFE. LIKE SHIT THAT WOULD BE THE WORST THING EVER.
i think if he does “recover” it’s going to be some bullshit where nothing actually gets better and he and ian are just in some screwed up relationship that is terrible
that’s what i think is going to happen and i hate it
my dream is that jeremy goes back to america and finds a REAL THERAPIST THAT ACTUALLY HAS A CLUE HOW TO HELP TRAUMA VICTIMS and he gets real actual help and manages to live on his own and nobody ever bothers him ever again and he gets a puppy THE END
When I get blocked up I try getting into something fannish, which gets me making fanart which gets me actually making something haha. Either that or I re-watch/read/play something that inspired me before to try and recapture some of that feeling. When that fails I pester my friends for ideas until they’re ready to kill me.
As for something rewarding, I think it’s when something I make really affects someone in a deep way or speaks to something in them that makes them connect with it in a really meaningful way.
Scott in particular (SINGLING YOU OUT SUP DUDE) has, in the past, made me feel like the stuff I make is really emotionally significant and nothing makes me feel more like art is a worthy pursuit than that!
I have a really cheapo drafting table but it’s covered in shit from the move right now and I haven’t used it since school let out anyway! I do most of my drawing on the comp or sitting on the couch curled up in an awkward position with my sketchbook close to my chest, haha.
hardest part of a piece: probably making it exist in real space rather than just having it float vaguely in the void. also possibly striking the balance between too much and too little detail- I have a problem where I overwork parts of pieces, especially faces, while underworking other parts because I get distracted by overworking the faces and aaaugh haha
least favorite part of the creative process: the times when I get really braindead and can’t think of anything to do, or the times when I have ideas but I’m going through an awkward period in my drawings where my eyes are bigger than my hands, so to speak, and nothing comes out how I want it to. I’m sort of going through one of those right now and I’m hoping doing this meme thing will at the very least keep me drawing, even if half of what I produce is shit.
favorite part of the creative process: probably when other people have a positive reaction to my stuff! I also really enjoy it when I finish something and I’m proud of it and I stay proud of it a week later, but having other people acknowledge your work and make it clear you’re not the only person who enjoys the weird stuff your brain churns out is really validating. In a weird way it’s kind of how I interact with the world and share myself! because I’m really shy and bad at words and making pictures is the best way i have to show other people what I like and what makes me tick and the easiest way for me to start up a conversation.
i originally thought up these questions for writers, but then i realized that they can really apply to anything - artists, composers, whatever. idk about you guys but i love to talk about my process so yeah
red: is it hard for you to think up new ideas? list three of your biggest influences.
orange: what do you do when you’re inspired? do you scream eureka, write the idea down in a notebook, what?
yellow: what do you do when you’re stuck in a block? list three sources of inspiration when new ideas are scarce.
green: how do you flesh out an idea? does it take a long time, do you mull over it for hours, or does it come easily? describe the process!
blue: depending on your form of art, what are some of your favorite ways to characterize, add detail, design, establish a settling, or otherwise elaborate on the piece? are you fond of world-building, or does that pose a problem for you? (customize this question if you’re an artist or otherwise)
indigo: picture of your workspace!
violet: describe your work habits. do you eat? do you need music? are you messy or organized? do you keep a notebook? how long can you work at a time? etc.
silver: what’s the hardest part of a piece for you? (plot, background, etc)
gold: the easiest?
black: what is your least favorite part of the creative process?
white: your favorite?
rainbow: do you believe in true originality?
brown: what does it take for you to honestly be proud of something?
pink: what is the most rewarding part of being a writer, artist, etc?
The rules are simple: draw one picture of your OTP a day, with the theme listed here! You can use any fandom you like!!Be sure to tag each entry with 30 Day OTP Challenge to make it easier to keep track of them! Feel free to interpret the prompts any way you like! That’s what it’s about!
On the following days, draw your OTP:
Gaming/watching a movie
On a date
Wearing eachothers’ clothes
Hanging out with friends
With animal ears
In a different clothing style (Visual Kei, gyaru, lolita, ect. )
During their morning ritual(s)
Doing something together (this can be anything from watching tv to having sex. Just remember to tag appropriately.)
In formal wear
In battle, side-by-side
Making up afterwards
Gazing into eachothers’ eyes
On one of their birthdays
Doing something ridiculous
Doing something sweet
Doing something hot (once again, be sure to tag if you make it extremely NSFW!)
And there you go! Have fun.
I sort of want to do this for Mulder and Scully, but it would be the absolute silliest thing ever created by a human.
